A great many Hungarian artists made their contribution to the revolutionary significance of the Bauhaus, and two of them were particularly important: László Moholy-Nagy was a key professor of the school, while Marcell Breuer gained world fame as an architect and designer.
Unlike a traditional commemorative event, Bauhaus Contemporary draws on the work of contemporary Hungarian photographers to show that as a school and outlook the Bauhaus continues to inspire creative minds in Hungary, and its themes constitute a living tradition.
Through the means of contemporary photography, the exhibited works evoke the spirit of the Bauhaus and the Hungarian artists who played a role in it.
