Hungary is once again hosting a prestigious international ballet competition, organised by the Hungarian Dance Academy. The Budapest Ballet Grand Prix, which sets high standards for applicants, attracts dancers – both graduates of professional training programmes and others who are still enrolled in them – from all over the world to demonstrate their dedication, outstanding professional skill and talent. The qualifiers and semi-finals of the competition are hosted by the National Dance Theatre, while the gala that crowns BBGP24 like a final chord will be held at Müpa Budapest. Taking the stage on this evening will be the victors and other award-winners of the various categories, joined by the students in years I-V of the classical ballet course at the Hungarian Dance Academy, as well as those in year IV of the folk dance course.
