The Pannon Philharmonic's offering for early May will be the concert titled Sunshine in Spring. There, the audience will get to hear a programme compiled from works by Johannes Brahms, Clara Schumann and Robert Schumann, three composers said to have formed one of the most mysterious love triangles in music history. Taking the stage together again will be brothers pianist Gergely Bogányi and chief conductor Tibor Bogányi.

On the programme will be Schumann's Piano Concerto in A minor, Brahms's Liebeslieder with orchestral accompaniment, Schumann's Symphony No. 1 in B-flat major and Clara Schumann's 4 Pièces caractéristiques. We owe nearly all of Robert Schumann's song output to the love he shared with Clara, while Brahms was a friend and intellectual companion to both of them who stood staunchly beside Clara during her husband's illness and early death. In fact, they might have meant even more to each other. However, Clara lived as a widow for 40 years after Robert's death, and Brahms remained unmarried his entire life. This evening will be about music written by these three. The concert features pianist Gergely Bogányi and the Pannon Philharmonic Festival Choir under the direction of choirmasters László Dobos and András Vass.
