How long does a breath last? For most of us, only for an imperceptible moment, and we can hold it for at most a minute and a half. It was 20 years ago when our trumpet players began breathing at Müpa Budapest, and they haven’t stopped since: an entire generation of trumpet players have enchanted the audience here since the opening. Our festive programme brings to the stage both teachers and students, who are all – without paradox – masters of their respective instruments. Joining artist of the 2022/23 season Gábor Boldoczki over the course of the evening will be two of his students. Tamás Pálfalvi became a Rising Star in 2017 at the recommendation of Müpa Budapest, and Dénes Seidl, also known as a Bartók Radio host, is one of the most promising trumpet players of his generation.
