It is no exaggeration to say that the appearance of Lili Kemény's book in 2024 created a huge stir on the Hungarian literary scene. Both active and passive members of the literary world felt compelled to offer their opinions on Kemény's first novel, Nem (No). In most cases, these were closely connected to the author herself. It is not only a challenge to write an autobiographical novel, but also to read one – especially when you stumble upon events during the reading process that are so recent, you yourself may have been a part of them. This event will feature discussions of relationships alongside literature and the theatre: fiction and reality, men and women, the private and public spheres, and the relationship between the work and its receiver. All accompanied by some fine electronic music.
