Born into a family of musicians, the eerily talented American singer Veronica Swift has cut through the stages of her career like a hot knife through butter to release, at the age of 29, her eponymous sixth album, the one that best reflects the full diversity of her personality. The Thelonious Monk International Singing Competition finalist, a veteran of touring as a guest artist with Wynton Marsalis and the Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra, will also prove at Müpa Budapest that, in addition to her jazz chops, she also possesses the stylistic tools needed for bossa nova, blues, funk, rock, vaudeville and classical music and a voice that evokes the sparkle of a polished diamond.
