Udvaros Dorottya - “Majdnem valaki” album launch
20 October 2015 Tuesday
8 pm - 9:45 pm
Festival Theatre
MR2 Acoustic+ from Müpa Budapest

The legendary and iconic actress Dorottya Udvaros – star of many era-defining and influential films and winner of innumerable awards – will release a new album of music in autumn 2015. The album, entitled Majdnem valaki (Almost Somebody), features the music of Róbert Hrutka and lyrics by Géza Bereményi. The pair has already worked together on a number of productions, of which the concert held at the Thália Theatre in memory of Tamás Cseh stands out.
“I have pleasant memories of Müpa, as we presented material from the albums Átutazó and Férfi és nő on stage here. The elegant building and atmosphere of patronage of the arts is a great experience for audience and performing artists alike.” (Dorottya Udvaros)
Rich in meaning and emotion, Bereményi’s captivating lyrics will be heard in the context of Hrutka’s music, interpreted by Udvaros with a consummate level of artistry. The involvement of Hrutka is no coincidence: his unique compositional style and the musical experience he has amassed over almost 30 years are already familiar to Udvaros from the memorial concert for Tamás Cseh.
“Over the years, I’ve been a fairly regular guest within the walls of Müpa. I was lucky enough to be able to present my songs co-written with Jamie Winchester for Kátya Tompos here. The fine acoustics, impressive surroundings and professional crew bring musicians back here time and time again.” (Róbert Hrutka)
