The music of perpētuum cannot be listed as a specific musical genre, they define themselves as a band representing an alternative pop style. Their songs draw from several genres, including jazz, rock, pop, psychedelic and electronic elements. They support their strivings for musical diversity with lyrics in English and Hungarian.

In November 2019, they won the Babel Laureate World-Jazz Contest, which gave them the opportunity to perform for a Dutch audience in January 2020. In March of the same year, they were selected for the Szimpla Lemming Programme. In 2021, they came second in the Fülesbagoly Talent Show in Debrecen. They have released three singles to date, and their full-length album White Canvas will be released this autumn. The winner of the 2020 Jazz Showcase Audience Award continues therefore to collect prizes. perpētuum will once again show at Müpa Budapest's new JazzTime festival why so many fans have chosen them as their favourite band.
