“When I first started putting this show together, I thought I would call it ‘Just Me’. This working title reflected both the self-confidence and fear I was feeling after the tremendous losses I had experienced over the previous year. Now alone, I had to move forward and find out whether anyone else was curious to see what I could achieve by myself. Then, as time passed, I found myself with new work and friends both new and old around me, so the title somehow faded in meaning. There is no ‘just me’: I still have my companions, as well as the songwriters, the songs themselves, and the music. And the audience. So the new title became ‘Not Just Me’. We look forward to welcoming anyone who wishes to join us!”
