As it does every year, the world-famous Muzsikás will once again take the stage of the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall in the intimate and festive period between Christmas and the New Year, and, with the help of their friends, will send the audience on the wings of music into a bygone world.
They sail to distant lands populated by Hungarians, where folk music is built into the fabric of everyday life, and where it is played as a source of joy and a basis for celebration, as well as a remedy for troubles and a soul-soothing stress reliever. This year, the evening promises even more fun: thanks to an extraordinarily thrilling dance production and outstanding soloists, not only will it evoke the intimacy of Christmas, it will also lead into the cheerful, free-wheeling secular atmosphere, full of dancing and revelry, of the end-of-the-year holiday period.
