Müpa Home LIVE

Admission to Müpa Budapest's virtual concert hall is free of charge.

We're broadcasting this performance live!

In spite of the fact that the current extraordinary situation prevents us all from meeting at Müpa Budapest in person, we would still like to make the coming days nicer and more uplifting. This is why we are going to transmit our live performance, without an audience, on our website and YouTube channel.

We look forward to welcoming you to the event, through your screen!

The performance will be broadcasted on our website and YouTube channel.

As it does every year, the world-famous Muzsikás will once again take the stage of the Béla Bartók National Concert Hall in the intimate and festive period between Christmas and New Year's, and, with the help of their friends, send the audience on the wings of music into a bygone world. This time, however, the audience will get to enjoy a live broadcast of the concert in the safety of their own homes.
From there, they will sail to distant lands populated by Hungarians, where folk music is built into the fabric of everyday life, and where it is played as a source of joy and a basis for celebration, as well as a remedy for troubles and a soul-soothing stress reliever. The celebrated guest soloists this year will include - in addition to Mária Petrás, who hails from the Moldavia region of Romania, and Hanga Kacsó, familiar from her victory in the Fölszállott a páva talent show - Kossuth Prize-winner András Berecz, along with two young dance talents: István Berecz and János Appelshoffer, who will jointly evoke both the intimacy of Christmas and the cheerful, carefree and secular atmosphere of the year-end celebration.
