Ten years old this year, Magashegyi Underground will be thanking its fans for the years of experiences and enjoyment they have shared together with a whole series of surprises. And the set wouldn't be complete without their unique symphonic production, which they are bringing back to Müpa Budapest after last playing it there in 2013. The concert will feature the best known songs from 2010's Ezer erdő (A Thousand Forests) and 2013's Tegnapután
(The Day After Tomorrow), but they will also be reworking, in addition to their symphonic repertoire to date, several compositions from their recently released album Talált tenger (Found Sea).
"We really like to give symphonic concerts; compared to our 'traditional' concerts, these entail a completely different experience and a completely different adventure. Although many people had been asking us when they'd be able to see and hear us in a symphonic setting again, we felt that now was the time to get the entire team of collaborators together and repeat the summer concert we gave to a full house at the Városmajor Open-Air Stage and put together a programme that is more colourful and exciting than anything we've done before, with new songs added in,” said the band's members.
The line-up already well versed in Magashegyi symphonic concerts - Dohnányi Orchestra Budafok, Talamba Percussion Ensemble, Discantus Vocal Ensemble - will be joined at the concert by Zoltán Beck, songwriter and front man of 30Y. This production will be unique in several respects, since after the success they shared collaborating on the song Árnyékok (Shadows), Zoli has delved even further into their joint work, writing lyrics for several songs on Magashegyi's third album. Several of these will be performed for a live audience for the first time here.
