Le Trio Joubran was founded by the Joubran brothers after Samir, the elder sibling, outgrew his solo career. The popular five-person Palestinian group, who are making their Müpa Budapest and Hungarian debut, released their first album in 2005, and have long enjoyed deserved acclaim on the world music scene. The group's play – which features three oud instruments – creates a truly striking and varied atmosphere, encompassing both ancient and more modern variations of traditional Arab music. They have written music for numerous films, and are now touring with their brand-new sixth album. One of the tracks was co-written by Roger Waters, while Brian Eno is known to be a huge fan of their work.
