Melinda Figura, Mónika Veres, László Nagy – vocals, Richárd Révész– piano, Gábor Vermes – bass guitar, Péter Kaszás – drum, timbales, Csaba Pusztai – bongas, Tamás Kovács – konga, Gábor Kollmann – saxophone, Ákos Csejtey – flute, saxophone, Ákos Tompa, János Hámori – trumpet, Attila Almási – trombone Featuring: Gábor Szendi and Dely Shango – percussion instruments Hungary’s biggest salsa and Latin jazz group, the thirteen strong Ricardo Salsa Club was formed in 2002 by Richárd (Ricardo) Révész who after studying classical music for ten years and graduating from the Academy of Music, emulated Chucho Valdés and decided to devote himself to light music and jazz. He has performed with artists and bands like Lee Harper, Aladár Pege, Andrea Malek, Mirtill Micheller, Eszter Váczi, Péter Gerendás, Iván Kamarás as well as Avocaldo, the Budapest Jazz Orchestra, TNT and Kolinda. The members of the Ricardo Salsa Club are all supreme performers of Hungarian music life in their own right, many with their own formations, either past or present. The band has performed widely, concertizing at numerous leading international jazz and Latin festivals, among them Montreux and Gronau. The Ricardo Salsa Club was responsible for the very first authentic jazz salsa record ever made in Hungary, Escucha Mi Ritmo which was released in 2007.
