A Fine Romance

It was many years ago that the Pannon Philharmonic decided that the Valentine’s Day holiday and the grand tradition it spawned across the Atlantic deserves a place in the concert hall. The raves each show earned from the audience convinced the orchestra that presenting symphonic arrangements of songs by the biggest stars in the world is a real winner: quality popular music turbocharged with symphonic energy offers a euphoric experience for the performers and listeners alike, like that of feverish love. For the 2025 concert, the PPO will present the soulful evergreens of two towering American artists, Ella Fitzgerald and Louis Armstrong, to lovers and all those who admire the songs of these two musical greats.
