At concerts by the János Ávéd Balance trio, the order of themes, the improvisations and dialogues that emerge from them, and the alternating arcs and moods are all born in the moment. Given that the three musicians are not just partners but long-time friends, there is a kind of telepathy at work in their reactions to one another. Taking their inspiration from jazz, progressive rock, electronic and contemporary chamber music, all three also use live electronics alongside their traditional instruments. Helping them “square the triangle”, the trio also aims to invite a special guest soloist to take to the Festival Theatre stage with them.
