Featuring:
Last year, Müpa Budapest and the Hungarian Jazz Federation joined forces to stage International Jazz Day. This resulted in two outstandingly successful concerts, while the event also provided a fitting setting for the Federation to award its Gábor Szabó, János Gonda and András Pernye Prizes. Following this year’s awards ceremony, the bands who won the judges and audience awards at the 2026 Jazz Showcase will have the opportunity to perform in the Festival Theatre in the company of special guest artists. The Lóránt Péch Quartet and The Black Tea Group have received much acclaim during the past year, and they will now be joined by outstanding musicians who have had a major influence on the young artists’ musical philosophy and development. Once again, the host for the evening will be László Jazzkovács.
