Müpa helps cement a new tradition this year by serving as a special venue, for the third occasion, for International Jazz Day, a worldwide UNESCO-designated event since 2012. On this day in Hungary and beyond, free jazz concerts await lovers of improvisational music. Similarly to previous years, Müpa will present three talented groups that have already proven themselves on several occasions, and will now each give 90-minute free concerts from 4 pm, 6 pm and 10 pm. As another special treat, one of the performing groups will be that chosen by a professional jury at January’s Jazz Showcase.
