In the flowering of the folk and world music movement in Hungary, the genre of "sung verse” accompanied by folk instruments has played a highly significant role. Ferenc Sebő made his mark singing the verse of József Attila, while the Kaláka Ensemble has been synonymous for some 45 years with the setting of poetic masterpieces to music. The Hangzó Helikon series is an indispensable part of this tradition. The Palace of Arts has been the setting for presentations of numerous Hangzó Helikon albums to the public, of which a taster is provided here by Bea Palya, Kaláka and the Sebő Ensemble - performing verse by, among others, János Arany, Attila József, Sándor Kányádi, Anna Kiss, Dezső Kosztolányi, Ervin Lázár, László Nagy and Lőrinc Szabó.
