It is impossible to categorise Félix Lajkó's style. He was always one of those musicians who spoke to the listener's soul with a special kind of sensitivity, using his instruments as a conduit between himself and the outside world. It makes no difference what he tries and who he is on stage with: the result is always crystal clear, an instinctive blend of soul music that feeds from a profound source. The violinist's musical world is a genre of his own, and one which he as able to combine with any style of similarly character and quality.
Szerenád szimfonik is the latest chapter in a coherent life's work that stretches back to Félix's first album in 1997. On the last track, Szerenád, he tells his listeners in an unmistakably macho yet disarmingly simple manner - this is Félix Lajkó speaking. Today, he communicates exclusively through his instruments and will be lifted on this day of lovers to new heights by a symphony orchestra.
