Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.

Tamás Juronics, artistic director of Szeged Contemporary Dance Company, has always firmly believed it is possible to use dance to tell stories, that the language of contemporary dance can express vital ideas and that you can create innovative choreography for large-scale classical music pieces. By his own admission, Juronics has an eternally restless personality, always fighting for new goals to bring success for himself and his dance company.

In 2017, Tamás Juronics celebrated the 30th anniversary of the beginning of his career. The Harangozó and Kossuth award-winning artist and Artist of Merit graduated in folk dance from the State Ballet Institute in 1987, before signing with Szeged Ballet in the same year, where he soon began working as a choreographer. After the departure of the company's director Zoltán Imre in 1993 Juronics was named artistic director and leading choreography of the company, which was also reorganised under a new name, the Szeged Contemporary Dance Company. His most important works include The Rite of Spring, Carmen, The Wedding, Carmina Burana, The Wooden Prince and The Miraculous Mandarin. He also played the title role in the latter piece, and those who saw it will never forget the elemental power of his performance. The dancer and choreographer András Pataki offered the following praise: 'Every single piece features his unique style, which is characterised by acrobatic contemporary dance movements and dance theatre elements that enhance the spectacle. In his works, profound emotions and thoughts are displayed in a multifaceted expression of the performing arts. ”

Audience members, who will be able to take their seats at the Bohemian Event Venue on a first-come, first-served basis from 6 pm, receive a welcome drink and can enjoy dinner before or after the concert.
