Crazy about Jazz

Perhaps art can keep the mind and body young, as evidenced by 86 year-old Miklós Szinetár, who is active on the Hungarian theatre scene to this day. His vast career seems to span three lifetimes. He has received the Kossuth Prize, the Artist of Merit and the Mari Jászai Award twice, and directed theatre, opera, TV and films, as well as writing for the screen. He is also a former director of the Hungarian State Opera and vice-president of Hungarian Television. 'An affinity with opera is innate and has nothing to do with a person's worthiness. There are many exceptionally intelligent and cultured individuals who cannot stand opera. It's like seafood.' He said in an interview.
On this December evening of Crazy About Jazz, Erika Náray will talk to Miklós Szinetár about which types of jazz he likes, and what artists he listens to. The audience will also get to hear interesting, surprising and even tear-jerking anecdotes about the ins and outs of his colourful career. All this in the company of fine drinks and superb music.

Audience members, who will be able to take their seats in the Bohém Restaurant on a first-come, first-served basis from 6 pm, receive a welcome drink and can enjoy dinner before or after the concert.
