Time and again, Budapest Bár delights the Müpa Budapest audience with their special performances and outstanding collaborators. On this occasion, the ensemble has been invited by Nők Lapja magazine to take the stage in the company of some very special guests. Róbert Farkas, the band’s leader and founder, originally aimed to breathe new life into the genre of Gypsy café music, thereby preserving and revitalizing old traditions. This experience will be made all the more unrepeatable by the unique interplay of top-notch musicians, singers, and – for one night only – actors. From early 20th century chansons to modern classics, the audience will be invited to revel in songs from a wide range of genres at this performance promising a meeting of eras, cultures, styles, and generations.
