In 2018, the Quimby frontman Tibor Kiss and Gábor Vastag, a guitarist, producer and sound engineer close to the band, founded the group Aranyakkord, an experimental musical workshop and song factory - a kind of playground where the toys are music and lyrics. Now the band, who are known for their improvised, spontaneous concerts, have created a musical dance theatre production with Kálmán Pál as director, using the music of an imaginary theatrical play - a morality piece that shows us the struggle of a journey across the infinite sea of human nature.

Side bands and projects often coalesce around Quimby. Aranyakkord was formed more or less unconsciously on a foggy day in January 2018 by Tibor Kiss and Gábor Vastag in Quimby's rehearsal room - also the location of the Sounday Studio founded by Vastag. The two musicians were sitting around playing their guitars on the sofa in the lobby when they became aware they had created a group. In 2019, Aranyakkord, who have an idiosyncratic psychedelic-acoustic sound, released an album and a short video: Dalok a bolhapiacról (Songs From the Flea Market). Now, however, it has become a genuine stage piece, simultaneously dance theatre and live concert, with Kálmán Pál as director. It features the sublimation of raw elemental instincts in crystallised images that are reborn in another story through the rearrangement of the original music material. Even so, the final result still bears much similarity to the previous story. Because all of us, both men and women, are journeying in the infinite sea of human nature. We are the captains of our own ships for a lifetime - beyond the storm, into the calm...

A joint production from Aranyakkord, Ballet Company of Győr and the Karzat Theatre.
