Swedish-Hungarian singer Antonia Vai is an unusual character on the domestic music scene, not only as a strong, independent woman, but also as a writer of songs with a profound message that blend world music with soul and pop. "This concert will not only be musically different from those before it, but I will also attempt - through poetry and spectacle - to create a world for which reality sets no limits; where the inner universe is the starting point and ideas flow freely.”
Antonia Vai was born in Stockholm, moving to Budapest in 2013 in a search for fresh inspiration. She quickly became one of the defining performers on the Hungarian underground music scene. In 2014, she recorded the album Stories After Bedtime, and in 2015 the EP Tightrope, featuring a collaboration with Saiid entitled Remember How. In 2016, she decided to take an unfamiliar direction with her new album. Most of the songs were conceived in Morocco, before taking their final shape during travels to Brazil, Sweden and Hungary. These experiences gave birth to the album Ritual, released in autumn 2017.
