Thank you for your understanding!

Anima Sound System, who play eclectic Hungarian electronic dance music, have been an essential group on the local scene for a quarter of a century. Still today, they remain full of surprises and capable of continual renewal. Zsolt Prieger, who works as a writer and teacher in addition to playing music, will direct this special stage event centred around the topic of love. The Loving, Murderous Ballads show will feature a parade of old and new Anima songs and a host of artist friends. An ambitious production inspired by the Hungarian language and folk ballads, simultaneosly traditionalist and totally experimental.

The Prieger brothers - Zsolt and Szabolcs - founded Anima Sound System in 1993. Apart from their danceability, the band's greatest strength is their artistic bravery: they are capable of renewing themselves from one period to the next, foregoing familiar and timeworn patterns in order to begin something completely new - just like they did in their new album in March 2022 Szomnakuno. Zsolt Prieger and his band's even newer show, Loving, Murderous Ballads, will be a 'theatrical concert-vision'. Featuring instrumentalists, actors, filmmakers and lighting artists, this large-scale production will focus on love in its gentle, erotic and even absurdly murderous forms, narrated live and on film. 'A musical, poetical, visual and physical explosion, which showcases how genres and styles can be made accessible 'Anima-style' and how Hungarian cultural traditions are immortal, yet totally modern.' A multi-level arts production and authentic Anima Sound System concert, complete with organ, cimbalom, violins, folk music and a whole host of prestigious special guests.
