Although December entails greeting the season of cold, young and old alike await it with warm hearts, since it also means that Christmas and the holiday of love are approaching. In traditional folk life, this period was full of superstitious and religious rituals like the Saint Nicholas Day mummering, the unique Saint Lucia's Day carolling traditions, various fertility rights, the construction of "Lucia chairs”, keeping a lookout for witches and carrying crèches to greet the newborn Jesus. The programme will present all of these in a fun format, with lots of music and singing.
