How do two instruments that appear to be made for each other sound together? At the concert entitled The Friendship of Flute and Harp, Zsuzsa Vámosi-Nagy and Kinga Katinka Szilágyi will demonstrate in an intimate setting just how rich and colourful a world emerges when these two instruments meet. As part of the programme extending from the Renaissance to contemporary music, the audience will also get the chance become acquainted with the instruments and their different types, the concert harp, the Irish harp, the Baroque flute, the piccolo, and the alto flute. Here they are not museum pieces behind glass, but tangible objects you can experience first hand. The two artists have been successfully presenting this highly personal and educational concert format for years, both in concert halls and schools. This is a rare opportunity to not only hear the harp, but also try it out – and on this morning, you can seize that opportunity with both hands.
