This is one day where it won't be the birds singing to us – just for once, it will be the other way round! For the May edition of the Müpa Budapest Mini Matinée series, nature's most talented vocalists take centre stage to mark Birds and Trees Day, as preschoolers and younger schoolchildren enjoy an introduction to the wonderful world of birds through Moldavian Csángó folk songs and Transdanubian dances. We can learn which bird was the last to be named by God, why the European goldfinch is so colourful, and which bird has the most beautiful voice. The children can also look forward to some remarkable folk songs, group singing and dance, with vocals provided by Andrea Navratil and László Demeter on the cobza.
