Duna Art Ensemble
Hungarian State Folk Ensemble
What did Bartók mean when he wrote about the “pure source of folk traditions”? Instead of a thousand words, the response is provided in the form of a unique gala event that will feature three outstanding Hungarian folk dance ensembles. The Hungarian National Dance Ensemble’s production, An Echo of the Carpathians, collects the most beautiful original dances of the region. The Duna Art Ensemble will honour the forgotten dances and traditions of the Székely people with a choreography entitled Székely Gate, while the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble’s performance, Dance Canon, will blend authentic traditional elements with contemporary styles. Three spellbindingly spectacular productions that pay tribute to our shared history and Hungary’s incredibly rich dance culture.
