The Kossuth Prize-winning pianist János Balázs was 13 when he was accepted to the Liszt Academy of Music's Special School for Exceptional Young Talents in 2002. By the time he finished at the university, he had racked up victories at six international piano competitions. In recent years, he has performed in Europe’s leading concert halls, as well as in well-known venues in America and Asia. He is a teacher at the Snétberger Music Talent Centre and the Liszt Academy. The work of the Gramaphone Award-winning musician has also been recognised by the state of Poland. In order to nurture the intellectual and spiritual legacy of his role model, he founded the György Cziffra Festival in 2016 and serves as its artistic director. His performance style reflects a unique musical vision.
