What distinguishes the very greatest composers from others lies not only in how they pass on their works to posterity, it is also their adherence to a certain outlook, a philosophy. Like György Ligeti and György Kurtág, the Moment’s Notice Trio create their own incomparably individualistic musical language. This concert of theirs will consist of short excerpts from the composers’ output being played from recordings, followed by live improvisation inspired by classical music, jazz and electronica all at the same time. Supplementing this trio consisting of György Kurtág Jr, László Gőz and Miklós Lukács will be composer-improviser Lukas Ligeti on percussion instruments and Kornél Fekete-Kovács with his unmistakable trumpet playing and electronica accompaniment.
