The next stop in the Gallery Concert series is Vienna, a city synonymous with music for pretty much everyone, whether they immediately think of the masters of the Classical era, the vibrant musical life of the Austro-Hungarian Monarchy, or the modern sounds of the Second Viennese School. The Müpa Budapest organ is not only capable of producing stunning tones, it will once again prove it is not just one instrument but a hundred as it brings to life pieces composed for musical clocks and symphonic works with equal brilliance. With the canopy lowered, the acoustics of the space are transformed – giving the impression of listening in a cathedral – and the experience is further enhanced by impressive visual effects. Bertalan Ablonczy, a young musician who has already built an international career, serves as the organist of Vienna’s Dominikanerkirche and regularly accompanies the Lautitia Choir Family, as well as performing in concert all over Europe.
