Movements – Concerto for Guitar and Orchestra (world premiere)

For the first night of his concert series, Artist of the Season Ferenc Snétberger is getting ready to give a brand new work its world premiere. In his three-movement piece Movements, he excels both as a composer and as a virtuoso soloist. The special feature of the composition is its orchestral arrangement – the work of the young composer/pianist Apor Szüts – in which improvisation is paired with the precise notation characteristic of classical music. The evening will also include performances of Snétberger’s other well-known compositions. Joining him onstage as his guest will be László Fenyő, one of the world’s elite cellists, along with Béla Lakatos, one of the most promising young artists of the Snétberger Music Talent Centre.
