The unique instruments produced by Klavins Piano Manufacturer are created in the Vác workshop of the German-Latvian designer, who has lived in Hungary since 2016. Two of these will be played at Müpa Budapest on Piano Day. With his Una Corda model, designed on the principle of 'only one string per note', Klavins made it his primary aim to create a novel sound with 'pure tones, better damping and more effective dynamics'. At his presentation, he will introduce his anything but ordinary instruments, of which one of the newest, the Concert Una Corda, big brother of the Una Corda, will be featured at the evening concert in the Festival Theatre.
The performance will be in English with a Hungarian interpreter.
