Singer-songwriter Szeder first appeared as a key figure on Hungary's popular music scene with her 2014 début album Hab a tetején ("Icing on the Cake”), while her Reggeli dal ("Morning Song”) brought her even more widespread attention. Her unique sense of humour and outspokenly honest lyrics offer an entertaining inner journey through Szeder's world, in which the half moon is a croissant and the Milky Way emerges in a coffee cup.
With her trademark musical playfulness and multifacetedness as a performer and songwriter, she expanded the range of colours and moods in her musical world with the release of her second album, Táncolj velem élet ("Dance with Me, Life”). By 2016, her band had taken on its current form and developed its unique sound, which really comes from Szeder herself. "I feel the second album is rawer and more audacious, and this might be due to the electric guitar. Of course, we haven't completely broken away from the acoustic world, which is what people are used to getting from us; it's just that co-producer Márton Fenyvesi and I put a much bigger dose of intensity into it, and this has revealed new dimensions to me. I myself engaged much more boldly with the lyrics too, not just the music. Every line on the record comes from inside me: I allowed increasingly deep-seated emotions to break to the surface and take on a life of their own in the form of songs. I've just been through a difficult period, so there are many songs that are sad and full of drama, or perhaps rather profoundly touching and thought-provoking, but I hope that they can provide some solace to others, the way they also helped me sing all kinds of things out of my system.
