The Palace of Arts' jubilee jazz concert includes traditional jazz and its stylistic offshoots, which enjoy abiding popularity in Hungary. This is well demonstrated by the New Orleans Swing festival held at Müpa every year, as well as by the Jazz at the Palace cavalcade on 20 August, at which swing music is traditionally the star of the show. The title Swing All Stars is no idle boast, as all the instruments will be played by outstanding musicians with superb stylistic command of the genre. As an additional treat, the audience will get to hear the leaders of Hungary's most popular traditional jazz bands on stage together: Sándor Benkó (Benkó Dixieland Band), Tamás Bényei (Hot Jazz Band), Tamás Ittzés (Bohém Ragtime Jazz Band) and Zoltán Finok (Jazz Steps). A familiar face to swing fans who visit Müpa regularly, the host for the occasion is Béla Szalóky.
