Postmodern Jukebox: The ‘10’ Tour
13 September 2024, Friday
8 pm - 10 pm
Béla Bartók National Concert Hall
Produced by Müpa Budapest

Pianist/arranger Scott Bradlee launched his Postmodern Jukebox project in 2011 and has been touring with it for ten years of triumph surpassing all imagination. Behind the ‘pop music in a time machine’ concept are arrangements of familiar contemporary pop hits and golden-oldies that are swinged-, jazzed- and doo-wopped-up before being planted in Motown-sounding soul. This simple but wonderful idea is one that works perfectly, generating ten years of constant touring since 2014, with the one-thousandth performance held during the current concert circuit, and two billion views on video sharing sites. This will be jubilee celebration in the spirit of classic sounds, with a sense of close intimacy after all the arena shows.
