Margaret Island
The Colours of Silence
13 February 2019, Wednesday
7 pm - 9:10 pm
Béla Bartók National Concert Hall
Produced by Müpa Budapest

Five years after being founded by Bálint Füstös, Kristóf Törőcsik and Viki Lábas, Margaret Island celebrate the magic of diversity in 2019. Building on a foundation of acoustic folk, Margaret Island's pop music full of gentle, positive and sincere messages has seen the group achieve significant success in a short period of time. After the explosive success of their 2016 song Eső (Rain), they soon became a permanent fixture on the playlists of clubs, festivals and radio stations in Budapest and beyond. The band's major first concert hall performance is an invitation to fall silent: we will enjoy a unique and thoughtful selection of Margaret Island's familiar early songs interspersed with tracks from their latest album, released in September. The Colours of Silence concert will be a unique reflection on life's simple truths, pains and delights through a unique patchwork of moods.
