Formed in August 2013 as an initiative of Fatime Songoro, the Song-Óra Group, which was a kind of 'tuning in to harmony' - the name of one of her songs. Its organisational strength is based in the need to know and help each other in the hope of creating a viable artistic medium. The mission of the concert series is for representatives from different areas of the arts to come together on a single stage. The main thread is the aim for shared existence, not co-existence. Song-Óra's work over the long term is based on a foundation of technical skill on the part of the musicians involved, their direct relationship to other art forms and their artistic openness.
