This evening, colorStar celebrates the 20th anniversary of their debut album Heavenicetrip. This album helped define a era and also influenced the music of generations to come. The band, which emerged from the 1990's electronic-psychedelic dance music scene, will play the album in its entirety with unique visuals and featuring Meszecsinka lead singer Annamari Oláh on vocals.
ColorStar were one of the first outfits in Hungary to blend electronic party music with psychedelic, guitar-based pop rock. The songs and atmosphere of the album truly evoke Budapest's effervescent nightlife at that time, with all the exciting and diverse music enjoyed in clubs all those years ago. ColorStar believes experimentation, expanding the mind and setting the imagination free are important elements to creating music. By their own definition, the music on their first album is educational science-fiction. Their world concurrently found space for exploding TVs, various genres of electronic and world music, new dimensions, the visual projections of the imagination, and pulsing rhythms. This is colorStar's first appearance at Müpa Budapest since their 2009 acoustic concert. For one night only, they will conjure up the spirit of an era, the starting point of a journey that has continued over 20 years.
