'What harmony!' exclaimed Andrea Bocelli upon hearing the Italian vocal group Cluster perform. They chose the name because the five of them have been inseparable since they met at the Conservatorio Niccolò Paganini in 2004. In 15 years of heaping up success after success with their sound mixing jazz, pop and fusion, the vocal ensemble have gone on to triumph outside their home country, with concerts in numerous European countries and in the United States. In a 70-concert tour in 2008, they captivated audiences at the most renowned clubs, concert halls and festivals in Italy, from Milan to Rome. Their début album, Cement, received three nominations for a Contemporary A cappella Recording (CARA) Award, and spent more than a week as the most-downloaded material on iTunes in Italy, surpassing both Madonna and Coldplay. In that same year, in the first season of the Italian version of X Factor, they were the last act left standing at the end.
Their next records, 2009's Steps and 2010's Christmas Present, earned a total of 12 nominations and five awards from the CARA jury - making Cluster Italy's most award-winning vocal ensemble. Over the course of their history, they have taken the stage together with such artists as Gigi d'Alessio, Fiorello, Morgan (who served as their mentor in the talent search), Andrea Bocelli and Mario Biondi. Cluster have performed unorthodox versions of Depeche Mode's Enjoy The Silence, Incognito's Don't You Worry 'bout A Thing and Michael Jackson's Smooth Criminal. They have a few exhilarating hits in store for the Hungarian audience as well.
