This will be the second time WOMEX, the largest event in world music has come to Budapest - or rather, Budapest will go to the world. Owing to the pandemic, the WOMEX events will be streamed this year; the live concerts in Hungary will be open to audiences.
Thursday's first two acts are Magos Együttes, a remarkable young formation of the dance-house movement, who have been selected among the regional Danube Stage of WOMEX 2020, and Ötödik Évszak, a band whose music is equally informed by the spirit of Hungarian folk tradition and the atmosphere of Paris salons. They will be followed by Félix Lajkó, the violin virtuoso and versatile composer from Vojvodina, who presents his new album with his band.

This event of the CAFe Budapest Contemporary Arts Festival is jointly presented by Müpa Budapest and Hangvető.
