Every series has its exceptional, unrepeatable moments. In the case of Literarium, the appearance of Imre Kertész is indisputably one such occasion, as a Nobel Prize-winning author takes to the stage of the Festival Theatre for the first time. For Müpa it is a huge honour that Kertész, despite his publicised illness, has accepted the invitation and undertaken a public engagement. A world-famous Hungarian writer thus awaits his admirers and readers in the company of pianist Dénes Várjon, who will create a worthy musical backdrop for everyone wishing to hear the words and thoughts of this fascinating personality, and excerpts from his novels read by the author himself and the actor János Kulka. It promises to be an intimate, exalted and celebratory evening which those lucky enough to secure tickets in time will surely talk about for many years.
