The Behind the Scenes concerts provide a glimpse into the everyday work of musicians and the process of making music. In the second half of the concerts, the audience will get to see and hear excerpts from the works they have already been introduced to in the form of an uninterrupted performance.

His majesty King Pomádé is at his wits' end: His birthday is tomorrow, but he does not have a stitch of clothing he has not worn before. Without any new clothes, it looks like he will have to cancel the party. Then, as if by magic, two master weavers from faraway lands appear before the king. They promise to weave their miracle yarn into a luxurious fabric, which they will then fashion into a marvellous birthday suit... However, there is a very important thing to know about the outfit: It can only be seen by genuine, clever and honest people; those who are stupid, deceitful or evil see nothing but fresh air. 'To those he gives standing, God also gives brains,' sings King Pomádé confidently. Will this wise statement still be valid at the end of the play? Who is it that can see the 'truth' fabric, and who cannot?

Between 9.45 and 10.30, we will be running a free playful, interactive session for children entitled Tune-Up. We look forward to welcoming groups and individuals who hold tickets to the subsequent performance.Register via e-mail to csip@mupa.hu, stating the number of participants and their ages, by the Wednesday before the performance at the latest. The activity is recommended for children aged 6 and over, and will take place with a minimum of six children.
