Five crystal-clear female voices that instead of competing with each other, maintain a constant mutual dialogue – this is Napfonat, who released a third record, a Christmas album, in the winter of 2023. Bea Palya had this to say about them: “Beautiful feminine voices that reach for the sky – each one is a complete world in itself...” The energy-packed female a cappella vocal ensemble delves deeply into the folk melodies of Hungary and beyond. At times, the polyphonic group expresses itself with the power of a choir, at others, you can instead marvel at their solo performances. This thrilling show plots an arc through folk music, world music and jazz, with the percussion play of the members adding further variety to the performance.
