Why do some people think jazz is a sophisticated genre solely the preserve of adults? Jazz for You! The objective of the Jazz for You! show is to introduce listeners to the unique universe of jazz at as young an age as possible. Because if you can feel and understand the main characteristics of jazz and the 1,001 forms and shapes it is capable of taking, including improvisation, musical dialogues and the musicians responding and competing with each other, then in a few years you will be able to select from the enormous array of sounds available with a sure hand. Now it is Perpetuum's turn to make the introduction.

Jazz is considered by many to be a niche genre, so it is fortunate that jazz musicians can expect an appreciative audience open to any kind of direction or experimentation in Budapest. While since its birth in North America and across its more than 100-year history, jazz has seen countless variations, the rich sound of rhythm and harmony, improvisational style, unique instrumentation and the personal relationship the performer has with the music have remained. Perpetuum, founded in 2017 and winners of the Pincejárat Music Talent Contest in the summer of 2019, will present all the remarkable facets of jazz music. Perpetuum's own sound has been defined as experimental art-pop. Alongside elements of recognisable genres and styles such as rock, pop and electronic music, the concert will naturally feature jazz as its 'bedrock'. Perpetuum's music is inspired by many life situations, universal emotions and everyday situations. The four-person group was formed from students of the Jazz Department of the Franz Liszt Academy of Music.
