Director:

An interactive orchestral concert compiled from works for children by Benjamin Britten, with solo singers and a presentation of instruments.

As an adult, love is complicated and unpredictable, but for children it has a completely different meaning that is much simpler and more sincere. We must learn this too. At this performance, we learn from children what love means to them. "Love is when you compliment a boy's shirt and then he wears it every day afterwards.” "Love is when a girl puts on perfume, and the boy smears himself with after-shave, then they set off out to smell each other.” "Love is like Grandpa and Grandma: they're still friends even after spending such a long time together.” "Love is when Mum makes coffee for Dad, but to be on the safe side she sips it before giving it to him, just to make sure it tastes good.”

Presented by: Hungarian National Philharmonic
