The princess rejects all of her suitors. One fine day, her father decides it is high time he taught his insolent daughter a lesson. How can we know what is false and what is truly valuable? What can help you seperate truth from illusion? Can a person change with the support of those around them? This BonBon Matiné musical performance will seek the answer to these and similar questions as the classic Grimm brothers fairytale King Thrushbeard is brought to life before our very eyes and ears with the help of the participating musicians.

For more than 100 years, this Grimm brothers story has captured the imaginations of artists and been adapted for children's, puppet and adult theatres, theatres, as well as the screen. A versatile figure on the contemporary music scene, the composer, pianist and conductor Ilona Dobszay-Meskó will present her third play for children with not just her own band, but also the Ventoscala Sinfonietta group, excellent interpreters of contemporary and classical music. Győző Lukácsházi will take to the stage in the role of revival director and concert host. With the active participation of Ilona Dobszay-Meskó on piano, the violinist Balázs Bujtor and the percussionist Zoltán Varga, Lukácsházi will help young audience members just getting to know classical music fully appreciate the delights of the genre. The musicians, who are all fully blessed with the theatrical gift, will also use humour to make the story accessible to the audience. The performance will both spark the imaginations of the children, but also help them understand why fairy-tales still matter in the present day.
