Do you know the story of Green Peter? He's the young lad whom his stepmother wants to get rid of, together with his little sister, at any cost. As he escapes, however, he finds allies on land, in the water and in the air, and then eventually wins the hand of the capricious princess, gaining the half of the kingdom that comes with her in the process. But he still has a long way to go, and in order for him to reach his goal, and the Majorka Theatre's unique treatment of the story requires the active participation of the audience: by the end, everyone in the audience will be joining in the fun with carefree abandon…

The Majorka Theatre is a two-person family puppet and children's theatre: the founding couple, Maja Táncsits and András Tapolcsányi, have long been in love with puppet theatre, and they pass on their experiences to the little ones in a fun and fresh way. Their favourite subjects to work with are Hungarian folk tales, and on this occasion they are bringing a widely known, classic story. The story of Green Peter takes an unexpected turn when, after fleeing his cruel stepmother's vengeance, he meets animals who rush to his aid on the way: only the hero who can hide three times without being found by the princess will win her hand in marriage. "One good turn deserves another," goes the old saying, and indeed, in the end everything turns out for the best. Unsurprisingly, the creators then go on to define the story of Green Peter as an interactive tale of hide-and-seek. Behind the rolling screen used as the space where the fairytale plays out, the performers themselves are visible, but they will count on members of the audience when it comes to bringing Green Peter's various adventures to life, so some of the little viewers will get to become the blazing sun, a fluffy cloud and the billowing sea. Nothing is compulsory here, but everyone is free to try everything - those who like to play hide-and-seek will be unable to say no to what promises to be an exceptional adventure.
